My name is Ann Grounds. I have been taking photos all my life. I grew up in Everett, WA, graduating from Everett High School and the University of Washington's School of Medicine with a degree in Occupational Therapy. I have been an Occupational Therapist for 25 years and decided to pursue my passion for photography in 2011 by getting my business license and opening up Grounds Photography. I continue to work part time as an Occupational Therapist and volunteer as a photographer for my children's high school marching band and color guard. I am married and have two children.
I am a "natural light" photographer, specializing in on location photography with natural lighting. I prefer outdoor settings, but do have sessions in clients' homes with available natural light. I enjoy taking portraits of every age from newborns to the elderly and everything between. I also enjoy sports photography, marching band photography, and event photography (birthday parties and school dances).
